The 2VM4-12/65 compressor is designed to create overpressure and supply compressed air as an energy source for other processes and is used in industries that require a working medium pressure of more than 9 kg/cm2. The maximum capacity, depending on the speed, is up to 12 m3, the absolute pressure is up to 65 kg/cm2. The compressor unit of the traditional design is a piston, stationary, oppositional with four-stage compression.
The compressor base 2VM4-12/65 is cast iron, box-shaped with internal reinforcement. For access to the mechanisms in the upper part of the frame, there are lockable hatches. The lower part of the frame serves as a reservoir for lubrication, there is an oil level indicator. The compressor is driven by an asynchronous two-speed electric motor built into the frame.
The compressor mechanisms are lubricated by two independent systems – a low-pressure circulating lubrication system that supplies oil to the base mechanisms; and a low-pressure lubrication system for supplying oil to the cylinder. The oil of the low-pressure lubrication system is poured into the frame, high-pressure-into the lubricator, from where it is fed to the cylinders by a multi-plunger pump.
The cooling system of the compressor unit is open liquid, with the help of a water pipe, with an adjustment valve, filled with water. The water flow from the water pipe passes through the gas coolers of all stages, then drains from the compressor. The temperature indicators of the drained water allow you to determine the temperature of the compressed gas, the readings are displayed on the automatic panel of the compressor unit. At the request of the customer, the 2VM4-12/65 compressor can be manufactured with a closed cooling system.
The compressed air is cooled in gas coolers located in the upper part of the compressor and is a "pipe-in-pipe" system. The inner pipe of the gas cooler is made of steel or AMG alloy. Depending on the design, the gas coolers of the first stage are located on the compressor, the gas coolers of the subsequent stages are placed either on separate foundations, or on the gas cooler of the first stage, or on the compressor frame.
The removal of moisture and oil from the compressed gas is carried out by means of oil separators combined with gas coolers in the lower stages, or located directly near the gas coolers in the higher stages.
